I enjoyed a beautiful summer day along Fire Lake of Kayenta, Ivins, Utah. This was such a delightful painting to conjure. "Hellhole" is the name of this particular escarpment of Red Mountain. She beacons me back frequently, as she is quite the looker.

I cut the painting panel to 16.5"x5.5" and build a shadowbox frame that adds nearly 1" to each side.
